There are some hardware failures that cannot be cost-effectively repaired and, in these cases, a logic board replacement is the way to go. Below is a partial list of the most common situations that require a board replacement:
Please note: You must send your remote to us for this repair service. We do not sell this board for DIY installation since we need to fully test it once installed into your original casings. If you do not want to send your Harmony One in, another option may be to simply purchase a replacement unit.
When we do a logic board replacement, we always provide a 2nd generation board with our new LCD installed. This gives you the most recent version of the hardware and also provides you with a nearly indestructible LCD. In addition, our boards are upgraded with our high-quality tilt-sensor. Our tilt-sensors (nearly silent and work effortlessly) are superior to the sensor that Logitech used.
This is very important! - The replacement board will need to be programmed with your own Activity/Device Profile before it can be used with your AV setup at home. This is easy to do if you have access to your Harmony Account! However, if your remote has been programmed by a 3rd party or you do not remember your account credentials, the remote will need to be programmed from scratch before it can be used.
- You have a 1st Generation Harmony One with a broken LCD. The logic board can be replaced with a 2nd generation board that has our new replacement LCD installed. If you are not sure what version of the logic board you have, you can verify it.
- Your Harmony One does not power-on at all even with a known-good battery.
- Your Harmony One reports a 'Low Battery' condition and immediately shuts down, even when using a fully charged, known-good battery.
- None of the hard-button keys are responsive and you have checked and massaged all of the keys to ensure that none are sticking.
- Your Harmony One is stuck in Safe Mode even after successfully completing a Firmware Update.
