Harmony 900 Battery Cover Locking Tab/Button
If your Harmony 900 battery cover will no longer lock and the cover's long 'tongue' is not obviously damaged, then the problem is the locking tab/button that you depress to release the battery cover. There is a small lip on this mechanism that tends to wear out or break outright and, when this happens, the battery cover will no longer lock down. To replace this part, you will need to remove the 'soft-touch' back cover and the hard-shell back cover (for full instructions, see the Harmony One Disassembly Guide or Video on our Support Page. The H1 instructions apply to the H900 as well). Once removed, the back cover should be flipped over and the battery compartment removed (4 screws). Once the battery cover has been removed, this will expose 2 screws that are holding down the locking button. Remove the 2 screws, discard the defective button and insert the replacement.
