 If your Harmony One does not go into charging mode when placed into the cradle, there is often either a missing or broken component (called a ferrite bead) or a cold-solder joint on the H1's charging pads. But, before you send in your Harmony One because it will not charge, make sure the issue is not your battery or your charger. First, check to see if your battery has swollen and cannot be removed. This is a common reason for charging failure.  There are also many counterfeit batteries and cheap replacement batteries that will not work correctly in the Harmony One and can actually damage the remote. If you are not sure your battery is authentic or compatible, contact us for guidance.  AC adapters can also become defective, so if you have a multimeter, you should check the voltage at the cradle. DCV readings between 5.1 and 5.7 are good. If all is well with the battery and the cradle, then the charging repair is probably what you need.
